Tomorrow evening Torvill and Dean's Dancing on Ice hits our screens for the second week.

It's the turn of the guys to face the Ice Panel of Robin Cousins, Karen Barber, Nicky Slater, Emma Bunton and Jason Gardiner.

Sinita was the first to go last week while Hayley Tamaddon and Daniel Whiston were the strongest team in show 1, but which of the male celebs will be given the boot tomorrow night?

Dancing on ice 2010 is here!

Every ice skating enthusiast was tuned to ITV in to see the new celebs, the latest routines, not to mention those blinged out costumes!

Do you think the celebs are doing well? Could you do better? It's time to get your skates on and see what all the fuss is about.

Treat yourself to a lesson from professional ice skating instructors. But not just any instructors! Marika and Vitaliy have both participated in Dancing on Ice and were Winter Olympic competitors.

Come join the fun down at the Deeside Ice Rink.

Unfortunately due to the recent hazardous weather conditions the ice rink has been open half days only.

Please be aware that during this period of uncertainty we will not be taking bookings as we are unable to guarantee that the rink will be open.

All week from October 5th to 9th there is a unique opportunity to watch Ice Skating at the highest levels in the U.K. at the Deeside Ice Rink as the last qualifying event for the British Championships is hosted at our local ice rink.

Starting on Monday skaters from all over the British Isles will glide, jump, spin and twizzle to earn their scores from the judges.

It's like Dancing on Ice, but for real!

We are pleased to announce the addition of some new ice skating lesson times being made available from next week.

Tuesdays and Thursdays during school term times (Flintshire) there will now be after-school ice skating tuition appointments available to book online from 3:30pm onwards.

The after-school session at Deeside Ice Rink specifically targeted at young skaters with a special admission rate.

So get your skates on after-school!

Exciting news for Ice Skating fans!

A rare opportunity to see the best and brightest of young talented British Ice Skaters compete will be coming to Deeside Ice Rink from the 5th to 9th October.

Ice Skaters from all over the U.K. will be skating their hearts out to gain to points to qualify for the British Championships.

This event will be a show case of all Olympic ice skating disciplines, Singles, Ice Dancing and Pairs.

Come along and cheer on the "Robin Cousins' and Torvill and Deans" of the future!

The new season is starting for all winter sports enthusiasts.

This is a great time to learn to ice skate!

North west skaters are cheering the new dancing on ice champion, Ray.

Ray's secret...mastering the basic skating skills early on. He made skating look easy.

The big question is...will Ray inspire you to take up ice skating?

Adults and children alike find that ice skating is a fun and exhilarating way to get fit and stay fit.

Why not make it your weekly work out?

The customary 6am rush to claim limited places on the Flintshire Learn to Skate classes at the Deeside Ice Rink took place this morning.  No doubt spurred on by the continued popularity of the ITV series Dancing on Ice.

Dedicated parents queued from the wee, small hours to ensure they would secure a coveted place for their youngsters eager to glide with the stylings of Torvill and Dean.

This Saturday afternoon there was an enthusiastic throng of skaters at Deeside Ice Rink. So many in fact that the ice was starting to melt a little.

That's a lot of people spending a lot of calories trying to stay on their feet.

What a great way to get fit!

Today was one of the busiest Saturday afternoons in the Deeside Ice Rink since the start of the Dancing on Ice season.

Everyone seemed to be having a good time, busting a few moves and slip sliding away!

What will we all do when the Dancing on Ice season is over?

Where will we get our next fix of Ice Dancing?

Did you know that British Champions, John and Sinead Kerr, just won the Bronze medal in the Ice Dance event at the European Championships? They are the British first ice dancers to win a medal at this event since Torville and Dean in 1994.

Tune in to Eurosport in March to see the best skaters from around the globe do battle for the title of World Ice Dance Champion......the Brits could be in the running for the podium, so lend them your support!

It's been another fun week teaching ice skating, probably one of the most fun jobs on the planet!

The ice was in great condition today, the staff at Deeside Ice Rink really know how to keep their ice surface in top form....smooooooth!

Some people coming skating for the first time seem to miss the very important part of getting ready to skate...lacing their boots up correctly.

Always make sure the laces are pulled snugly around the lower part of the boot and criss-cross around ALL of the hooks to give ankles the support they will need as you whiz around the ice. Tie off with a double bow if you can to make sure they don't come undone while you skate.

If you're coming ice skating this weekend, have fun and stay safe.

Finally, there has been weather to make it feel warm inside the ice rink.

Debate has been going around the ice rink at Deeside about who should be voted out of Dancing on Ice next.

The "real" ice skating population seems torn about Todd Carty's performances.  Some say funny, others are concerned about the safety of his Pro partner Sue Lipanova.  One thing's for sure though....everyone around here is rooting for Ray!

If you want to see how tricky it can be it's time to get your skates on this weekend at Deeside Ice Rink and learn some moves so you can yell something constructive at the Dancing on Ice judges on Sunday evening.

Come and have a go if you thing you're hard enough.

Deeside Ice Rink has seen a surge in popularity this weekend.

Could it be the "Dancing on Ice" effect?

It's great to see so many people coming from across the region to ice skate at Deeside

and even better to see they are enjoying the experience.

A top tip for anyone ice skating for the first time....comfy thick sport socks,

Ice skates should be fastened firmly to support the ankles and

can be a little uncomfortable if you're not used to them, so the thick socks cushion your feet.
