Ice dancers, Lindsey Woolsencroft and Jamie Whyte were crowned 2005 Welsh Ice Dance Champions in the first few months of their newly formed partnership under the instruction of coaches Marika Humphreys and Vitaliy Baranov.
Together they worked hard to become members of the British International Squad representing Great Britain at the Pavel Roman junior international competition.
They topped their season off by taking the silver medal at the British Junior Ice Dance Championships in 2005.

16 teenagers fulfil their goal to compete at the British Championships.
Highly motivated Deeside Synchro Team skaters trained together in the late hours of Saturday nights in a quest to become the first Synchro team to compete representing a Welsh rink.
Coached by Marika Humphreys, the team qualified for 2 consecutive National Junior Championships in 1997 and 1998.
Making the cut: Deeside skaters show they’ve got the right stuff
Deeside skaters, Victoria Usherwood and Ben McNulty make the cut in professional auditions.
Former holder of the British Novice Ice Dance title with her brother David, Victoria Usherwood (pictured right) returned to skating after studying a dance degree to be talent spotted and snapped up for professional show Holiday on ice. Vicki has also starred in a TV commercial for a well known catalogue.
Ben McNulty (pictured far right) grew up performing in Deeside Ice Skating Club shows. Coached by Vitaliy Baranov for his auditions, Ben’s skating skills and lively personality were spotted by Disney on Ice who signed him up for their world tour.
